EDGEhomes Hosts Virtual Food Drive
EDGEhomes Hosts Virtual Food Drive to Support Utah Food Bank
(Orem, UT) –EDGEhomes and Blue Diamond Capital invite the community to join efforts to raise funds for those in need. EDGEhomes employees feel a strong desire to help the community, including the Utah Food Bank, which serves those in need throughout Utah by providing meals to thousands of people each year.
“When we heard about a virtual food drive, we were excited to not only participate but encourage others to do the same,” said Kellie Little, EDGEhomes Director of Marketing.
Unlike the typical food drive with piles of canned goods rolling around the car, this food drive is being held virtually, so anyone who wants to participate can donate online from the convenience of your computer or device. Anyone who wants to combine with EDGEhomes’ efforts should use this link: http://www.utahfoodbank.org/virtual-food?Team=4292.
“By involving our community in this easy donation process, the Utah Food Bank can help even more people, in a way that most don’t even know exists,” said Gordy Jones, EDGEhomes Co-founder. “Get involved and let’s work together to help real people in our own community this holiday season.”
The benefit of donating online is that the amount of food purchased is maximized. The Utah Food Bank can stretch donation’s further because of its Grocery Rescue Program, commercial donation’s and purchasing power. EDGEhomes started the food drive by donating $1,000, which was maximized to $2,381.80 worth of goods for those in need.
