  • What makes the first-time home-buying experience unique and fun?

“Many people don’t feel like they’ll ever be able to buy their own home. So, I love showing them the possibilities! It is possible to buy your own home. In fact, we do it all the time! First-time homebuyers have typically been renting for a long time and absolutely hate it. So, they are extremely excited and grateful to buy their own new home! Actually, first-time buyers often cry during the process and even send me notes expressing how thankful they are for their gorgeous new home! Of course, there are ups and downs during the transaction, but that’s completely normal. We just keep reminding them that we will get through it and will be in their home in no time! First-time buyers are my absolute favorite! There is nothing like OWNING your home – and I can see it that all in their eyes!”

  • How do you tailor your services to fit your client?

“I tailor my services based on what the client needs and wants. First, I treat everyone with the same level of service regardless of the product. The product has nothing to do with what the person may need. I ask questions, offer information, listen to their comments and questions, and make sure their needs are met. People will tell you how they want to communicate with them, how often and with what level of detail they require. I think I just take the time to listen.”

  • What makes the EDGEhomes experience different?

“I’ve never built or worked for other builders. However, I can tell you what my clients have told me. First, they feel like we listen to them and truly want to deliver them a product/home they will love. Second, they feel like we are a great value. We offer beautiful open bright floor plans for a reasonable price. We also have more options than other builders, which allows them to truly design their home. It’s unique to them instead of a cookie cutter homes that look just like their neighbors. Finally, people have direct contact with the superintendent. The most important part of that is the superintendent has the power to make decisions in the field and in real time. Evidently, other builders don’t give superintendents that sort of control and buyers can get very frustrated because of this. EDGE does it differently to keep our homeowners in the loop the entire time.”

“I take the time to listen and understand what a home buyer needs in a new home. Then I design and personalize a home-building experience that allows the buyer to make sure their home fits them and their style rather than requiring them to try and fit thems to someone else’s existing home. “

“Each customer has their own needs and wants, however, the main thing we all want when buying a home is constant communication and an understanding of what happens next. I make sure that each client knows week-in and week-out what’s happening in their home and what to expect next.”

“The process! EDGE has done such a good job developing a process where whenever a client needs something they can call and I can tell them where they are and when we plan on having them moving in—all within seconds. I don’t know if there are many builders out there that can do that and do it with confidence.”

“Buying a home for the first time is exciting! Part of what makes it exciting is the search. You spend a lot of time searching for what feels right for you and that can be a lot of work. You walk through models, talk about what you like and dislike. Once you finally find what you are looking for, you get this boost of energy and excitement. It’s exciting to know you’re done renting and can actually start building your equity as a homeowner.”

  • How do you tailor your services to fit your client?

“I always like to ask my clients why they’re moving. This helps me understand what is really motivating them. I’m only interested in finding the right fit for my clients. I also make myself available to fit their schedule, day or night. I know how important that is when you are making a big decision like buying a home.”

“I think building with EDGEhomes is different from other builders because of the team support you receive throughout the entire process. The agent, the design team and the builders all work together to make sure you know what’s going on with your home and are on your side so you’ll end up with the highest quality home possible.”

“I simplify the process. First, I refer them to get pre-qualified. Even if they won’t qualify, I recommend they work closely with the lender on a game plan. I explain the mortgage interest deduction in simple terms. I congratulate them for starting in the real estate market in their early years and I tell them it’s the best investment they’ll ever make.
