Builder Blitz 2018 Recap
EDGEhomes recently finished our work on the 2018 Builder Blitz, a program developed by Habitat for Humanity. This year was our fifth year working on the Builder Blitz, and every year gets even better than the last.
While constructing a home usually takes months of work, we were able to build the homes in just nine days thanks to our coordination with Habitat for Humanity and other sponsors. What made this year especially exciting was that we were able to build two homes for two extraordinary families rather than one like we had in the past.

We also had all of our employees get together for an EDGEhome’s Landscaping Day. It was an exciting opportunity to see so many of our team members get together to accomplish something we were so proud to be a part of. Get a peek into the day by watching the video below:
While we loved completing the project in such a short amount of time, there were also a number of things that went into the project beforehand.

They took classes to learn about home ownership, maintenance, and helped plan and customize their new homes. Both of the families also worked hard to become financially ready to take on the investment.

Along with the help of each of the families, EDGEhomes worked alongside a number of sponsors. Each of these sponsors contributed a lot of time and effort to make the entire project possible. The 2018 Blitz Build sponsors included:
Although we’ve had the opportunity to build hundreds of homes this year, these two homes are definitely some of our favorites and are especially dear to our hearts.
We look forward to helping on next year’s Blitz Build and many more to come. Want to learn more about our work with Habitat for Humanity? Contact one of our team members.
