With new home construction on the rise in Utah, many families are looking to leave behind the rentals and build their own home.
Cameron Powell from Edge Homes shares information on making your first home building experience a good one.

As Utah is one of the Nation’s top economies, more and more buyers are building their first home. They are tired of paying rent and want to invest in a place to call home. Whether that new home is a condo, townhome, or a tradition home the building process should be both easy and fun. Cameron Powell, the Director of Sales is here to share some tips on how to make the homebuilding experience a great one.

Cameron: You saw that this is a perfect time to buy a house vs. continue to rent. Why now?

  1. We have amazing interest rates.

Financing a home has never been better. Along with record low rates there are so many programs out there for first time homebuyer’s. If and when interest rates go up, the homebuyer’s buying power goes down.

  1. Where does one start?

Start by speaking with a mortgage lender. They can give you an idea of what you can spend on your new home. Other then your payment going towards your equity and not some else’s, there are many tax advantages that come along with owning a home.

  1. Purchasing a home and home ownership can be scary, and you say it doesn’t need to be?

There are so many options for new homes. At Edge Homes, we offer, condominiums, townhomes, and traditional single families home to fit most budgets. Condominiums and townhomes take a lot of the home maintenance away and are often less than paying rent. As the market appreciates the buyer can use that equity to buy their next property as their lifestyle or family size changes

  1. What do you at Edge Homes offer to help a new buyer through the process?

We love first homebuyers and make it so easy. In Fact we are holding 2 First-Time homebuyer seminars this Thursday and Saturday to educate those that are considering buying a home over the next year.
